DIY Acrylic Easel for Vertical Mark-making

We, finally, made him one!

Vertical mark-making with the easel board encourages hand-eye coordination while putting those core muscle to work on balance while aiming to do a task, in this case, paint on a chosen surface.

This easel is such a great way to explore the concept of transparency and opacity using a surface too! We played a lot of peek-a-boo's while painting!

This simple DIY also promotes family bonding while creating the easel and using it for fun activities! On our Instagram account, you'll see my boys having so much fun playing with it.

And the best part, EASY CLEAN UP! Just spray or wipe with water and viola! All set for another round of masterpiece!

Here are the materials:

3 pieces - 1.2 meters pine wood

1 piece - 60 cm x 90 cm perspex

4 pieces - reinforcement brackets

Here's what we did:

Measure and mark the frame according to the size of the perspex. (In our case, 90 cm length).

Cut one of the pine wood in half. Then attach these at the top and bottom to make the frame.

Drill holes and screw the perspex securely.

Attach the brackets (2 on each side) with screws.

DONE!
